Airmax WipeOut Aquatic Herbicide is perfect for freshwater farm ponds and lakes with minimal water outflow that battle persistent pond weeds year after year. WipeOut weed killer has no temperature, swimming, boating, or livestock restrictions and can be applied early in the season at the first sign of weed growth. This systemic fluridone herbicide controls targeted pond weeds slowly by starving them of nutrients without rapid oxygen depletion or a fish kill. 7.7 ounces of WipeOut herbicide for ponds treat 1/4 acre at 4 feet deep. Airmax WipeOut is one of the most effective all-season control aquatic herbicides on the market today.
Apply WipeOut with pond dye early in spring, even before plants are present. If treating later in the season or when plants are actively growing or mature, you can combine WipeOut and KnockDown Defense for both fast-acting and long-lasting results.
When to Apply
WipeOut should be applied in early spring, at the first sign of weed growth. WipeOut weed control can take 45-60 days to control established weed growth and up to 90 days for full protection of your pond but has no temperature, livestock, or swimming restrictions.
When Not to Apply
WipeOut is not recommended for use in ponds that contain desired aquatic plants. Ponds that have an outflow or use the water for irrigation within 30 days of treatment. Do not use WipeOut in specific areas of the pond or treating algae. We recommend combining KnockDown Defense to fight algae growth.
How It Works
Airmax WipeOut reduces pond weeds' chlorophyll, which hinders the weeds from receiving adequate nutrition, causing them to die at the root.
What to Expect
WipeOut is a systemic fluridone herbicide that controls targeted pond weeds slowly and does not result in rapid oxygen depletion or a fish kill. It can take 45 to 60 days for the chemical to work in the water before you see the bleaching (turning white) of the weeds. You should expect full protection of your pond within 90 days. How to Apply
Airmax Wipeout has no temperature restrictions and should be applied to ponds and lakes with minimal outflow. Airmax WipeOut can be applied to start in early spring, at the first sign of weed growth, through mid-summer. Ponds treated with WipeOut weed killer will not harm any wildlife in or around the water and can be used immediately for swimming or fishing.
Once you have determined the size of your pond and use the dosage rates above or on the product label, open the container and shake the liquid bottle(s) prior to use as the contents may have settled. Measure and pour the liquid WipeOut into a container, and mix with water. Pour the mixture from the container in several spots around the pond's edge under or away from pond weeds.
